        <![CDATA[ Has this ever happened to anyone? I was running in a quiet part of Woodbridge, and out of nowhere, felt the impact of something on the back of my head. In
addition to the whack on the head, I felt something a little sharp. Then I heard wings flapping away...I looked up and saw a red shouldered hawk (my son could
identify the bird based on my description) flying away....It was so freakish and alarming. Anyone else ever been hawkbait???

			<description><![CDATA[ I wrote about a hawk encounter on my blog earlier this year. One did buzz me. I saw another one today in the middle of the road but fortunately he was scared
off by a car that passed me just before I would have gotten to him. They take a really dim view of their meals being interfered with. My favourite deer
encounter was a cross country race in Rochester where we were literally running in the snow along side a deer at the start of the race. I&#39;ve been attacked
by dogs, including a large... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I have been attacked by hawks before Margaret! Red Tail Hawks are very territorial, especially if they have a nest and eggs close by to where you are running.
I&#39;m suprised this hawk didn&#39;t come back at you. I was in a trail once and one swooped at me four or five times. protect your eyes in this situation.

Training a bunch outdoors, you are bound to encounter some wildlife which make for good stories! I&#39;ve also swallowed a bee, been hit by a blackbird, chased
